The Problem

Every Edition Rebuilt by Hand

The journalism was done. Getting it online, every single week, was the hard part.

The old website had been broken into and sent readers to an unrelated site.
Each edition arrived in pieces: the pages, the text and the photos, separately.
Putting it online meant rebuilding it by hand, every week.
Sharing each article took more hours on top.
Years of past editions sat in files that nobody could search.

What We Did

A New Site and a Weekly Build

A fresh, secure site with a digital edition and an archive of past editions. When the week's files are in, the edition is built: every article published with its own page and image, the edition filed, and the Facebook posts queued to go out through the week.

How It Works, Week to Week

The week's files arrive and are sorted by themselves: pages, text and photos.
On publishing day the edition builds: every article with its own page, photo and caption.
The edition is filed in the digital archive, with its own share image.
A post for every article is queued to go out two a day through the week.
A hold switch can pause any week.
